Stand Against Unfair Exam Practices — MI College

We are students of MI College, and we are writing this petition to formally raise our concerns regarding the recent changes in examination scheduling and the overall handling of exam-related matters this semester.

This course was originally designed and promoted with weekend examinations — a commitment that was clearly communicated to students at the time of enrollment. Many of us, particularly those who are employed, made significant life decisions based on that promise. This semester, without adequate notice or consultation, exams were moved to weekdays — leaving students with little time to adapt and no say in the matter.

But this petition goes beyond scheduling. It is about principle. It is about an institution honoring the commitments it makes to its students. It is about basic professionalism in how changes are communicated and implemented. And it is about ensuring that policies are not applied retroactively to students who enrolled under entirely different expectations.

We believe every student — working or not — deserves transparency, respect, and consistency from their institution.

We collectively request the following:

1. Reinstate weekend examination schedules for all currently enrolled students

2. Ensure future policy changes apply only to newly enrolling students, not those already enrolled

3. Provide a formal explanation for the decisions made this semester

4. Improve communication standards between administration and students for any future policy changes

We sign this not to create conflict, but to hold our institution to the standard it set for itself.

We urge the administration to listen, acknowledge, and act fairly.
